Indication ABRAXANE® for Injectable Suspension (paclitaxel powder for injectable suspension) (nanoparticle, albumin-bound [nab] paclitaxel) is indicated for:- the treatment of metastatic breast cancer.
Contraindications1: Patients who are hypersensitive to this drug or to any ingredient in the formulation or component of the container. ABRAXANE® for Injectable Suspension (paclitaxel powder for injectable suspension) (nanoparticle, albumin-bound [nab] paclitaxel) should not be used in patients who have baseline neutrophil counts of <1,500 cells/mm3.1
Note: An albumin form of paclitaxel may substantially affect a drug's functional properties relative to those of drug in solution. Do not substitute with or for other paclitaxel formulations. In the treatment of metastatic breast cancer ABRAXANE® has been evaluated as a single agent only.
